Risoil has successfully tested the equipment of the bilateral pier

Risoil has successfully tested the equipment of the bilateral pier capable to handle vessels with draughts of up to 15 m in the port of Chornomorsk.  The team completes the commissioning by a simultaneous handling of the m/v Champion Pula and the m/v BC Lara. 

One of the options envisaged by the project was used, when a grain crop is loaded on one side of the hydraulic structure, and vegetable oil is loaded on the other side.

“The system consists of a huge number of elements. It is tailored to ensure the safety of both the equipment and the personnel who are additionally trained and work with it. Accordingly, we’ve got plenty of devices to ensure safe operation, whose proper functioning was focused on particularly in the adjustment process”, the personnel of the Chief Engineer’s Office of “Joint Venture RISOIL-TERMINAL Ltd.” explains. 

Wheat loading has only been suspended twice: because of bad weather and an air raid alert. In addition to the shiploader designed especially for the pier, the loading arms facilitating and speeding up the joining of a tanker have proven to be a success, too.

The completion of the technical aspect of implementation of one of the largest investment projects in the branch in recent years will allow an official launch to be announced very soon.
